Music............Did the end start with Frank?

Fortunately, we still have Dylan, Young, Petty, Prine, Santana, Loretta and Allison Krause.

Liberace, Frank, Mel Torme, Ella, Sarah Vaughn, Billie, ...............oh.........the list goes on. They're all gone.

Meanwhile, there's good 'ol RAP music and Dave Matthews and blaha blah blah<YAWN> in some circles for the youngens.

So sad.

Has music died........is it Dying?

Should we all sing American Pie?

Who's left to carry on..........to carry on?

That's funny! At our house you might hear: Mozart, the Beatles, Sinatra, various operas or symphonies, or Megadeth...depends on the day of your visit!

Anna Nalick is awesome, BTW.

My 23-year old still thinks the Moody Blues played classical.

My first love is Country but I also have a great fondness for all other types of music.

Wow...Old Blue Eyes was the best! No one can touch his version of "Moon River" and his "Send in the Clowns" where he speaks a few words about a recent breakup before he starts singing. I only hope he knows how much he is truly missed and thank goodness I have most of his works on cds.

We still have Andrea Bocelli, Jonny Lang, Dan Fogelberg, John Mayer, Hank Jr, and plenty of great bands out there. I like so many kinds of music, it's hard to pick one singer but Frank would be my alltime favorite for whatever mood I'm in.

I remember when I could turn on the radio and listen to artists like the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, or Smokey Robinson.

My parents always had the house filled w/ music when I was little kid. The standards were set by the likes of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Smokey, the original Supremes, & the original Temptations. Great music.

Zappa's music will live on. It's a great shame he was taken so early (yes, in his case 52 is early). He was creating astonishing music until the very end.

It is all the same song, Country, Hip-Hop, Britney Spears, Limp Bizkit. The industry wants to sell faces and image, not music.

I quit listening to the radio and started hunting out local musicians and supporting live folk music. It is hit and miss but not as bad as the crap that I hear on the radio.

Currently, I recommend Appalachian Experimental musician Mike Morningstar. "Far Muse" is a really nice track.

Young and old alike loved his music.

Let's not get too crazy here... Frank Sinatra was the best singer the mob could afford to make popular.

As far as singers go, he was a passable actor. Nor did he know when to quit, as the teleprompters (which he apparently couldn't read) at his shows would attest.

Good riddance, Blew Eyes.

I'm doing alright with Weezer, Interpol, Green Day, Nerf Herder, Death Cab For Cutie, The Offspring, and many other bands. Problem is it's seldom on radio. Gotta go to Satellite or college stations. I still like the old stuff too, it's time to get out the Dean Martin Christmas LP.
