Well, just dang; it seems I havent missed much of anything. The first thing I tried to do was find a nice, printable schedule for the 2006 Nextbest Cup Series. Guess what I found! Sure, the schedule, as announced last September is out there, but with a glaring exception to the usual rule. Nowhere can one find the TV listings beyond the fact that Benny and the boys will be on site for Daytona Speedweeks.
Figuring that maybe I was just missing something, I dashed of a quick note to the Leader of the Pack here at IRN, asking why the schedule was incomplete. Ah, it seems hes run into the same problem; there is NO TV schedule to be had.

Having come here fresh from football, I know that NBC will be broadcasting Sunday Night Football next fall; taking that over from our friends at ESPN after what I think I recall was an eighteen-year run. Eventually, we will be the beneficiary of that move when ESPN comes back to stock car racing in 2007. Ah, but thats a full year away.
Meanwhile, if their custom holds true, Benny and the boys are scheduled (Except I cant really use that word) to cover all of the races in the Sprint Derby or whatever. Those ten races would be at Dover International Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway (Yeah, I know), Martinsville Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Are you all with me so far? Were looking at one network, Nothing But Commercials, broadcasting all ten of those races, most of which will be held on a Sunday. Then, that same network is scheduled to broadcast a football game that since its inception has begun at 8:30. (All times Eastern
you do the math) Now, I have only two words for you
rain delay!
