What Is Your Favorite CD (or cassette)?
11/21/05 | MplsSteve

A few weeks ago, I posted "What Are You Reading Right Now?". Got a great cross-section of responses from Freepers. In another month or two, I'll repeat the question. But now, I have another question.

What is favorite CD, album or cassette of all time?

It can be country, blues, 80's-style rock, etc. Anything.

I'll start.

My two favorites are:

"World Falling Down" (1992) by Peter Cetera. Not as sappy as you might think. An album written at a down-time in his life.

"Rebel Yell" (1982) Billy Idol. A great collection of rock songs. Some of his best songs (on this CD) never made the Top 40.

OK, what's your favorite?

Webb Wilder's "It came from Nashville." Best album by the most under rated artist of all time. Rock on!

Daamit, I'm sorry!

LOL

I accidentally left out 8-tracks. If you have a favorite 8-track, I'd like to hear about that too.

Favorite of all time, right? For me, it's a tie between "Theatre of Pain" by Mötley Crüe, and "Sign 'O' the Times" by Prince.

I agree with you on "Rebel Yell." Idol was cool then, and the guitar solo on "Eyes Without a Face" was fantastic.

I don't really have a specific favorite.

I like Ronnie Dio so Black Sabbath "Heaven and hell" is a favorite.

I like my "Speak of the Devil" CD by Ozzy.

I like all of my Megadeth CDs

I like most Metallica up to about the Reload CD.

Yeah I know, I'm hellbound.

Geez. It takes alot of guts to admit to liking Billy Idol. LOL

I have too many favorites to list a couple. So instead I'll tell you what is in my current Rotation:

1. Best of the Ink Spots
2. Ella Fitzgerald Swings Slowly
3. Best of Johnny Cash
4. Bob Dylan's Infidels
5. Dave Brubeck Remembers (solo piano versions of songs popular when he was in the army in WWII)
