Yep. Mine do that too. Not too much different than existing turbines except the independant source of oxydizers. The primary fuel is a synthetic compound (still trying to think of what that compound will be) meant for maximum performance but it can easily run on standard hydrocarbons like deisel and kerosene.

Hmmm, maybe "hydrazine," which is a rocket fuel and was used as an experimental fuel with an oxidizer when the US Army was working with a fuel cell Army Truck in 1967. That's the beauty of a gas turbin engine, it can run on a variety of fuels on what is available at the moment. There was one effort to convert the General Motors EV1 into a hybrid and they used a small gas turbine to drive a generator.

HOWEVER.... Hydrazine, which was, and still is, used in many hypergolic rocket engines(titan II, used them, as did the thrusters in the Apollo CSM, and satellites use it today,) Hydrazine is VERY dangerous!!!! As I have read, and heard, it is WAY more dangerous, to be around,. than hydrogen, or such. It gives off heavy fumes, and breathing just a whiff will kill!! It is good, when used with Nitrogen tetroxide for an oxidizer, in that it needs no spark to fire, but too dangerous to be handled by inexperienced persons.

Cool:) Never thought of hydrazine. I had this crazy idea of liquid nitramine (NOT the race car fuel: Nitramine is often a rocket propellnt) compound lol. Hydrazne is a proven fuel though.
