Matchmakers, unfortunately, often have no idea what they're talking about. They'll set you up with the most disastrously wrong person imaginable.
Yeah, that can happen. Anything touched by the human hand makes it fallible and prone to error, but there are times I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl just to see what happens. B-)

If the matchmaker's a friend, they usually have a lot of obsessive interest in the match. When (not if) the matchmaking doesn't work out, that friendship with the matchmaker is damaged severely.
