SCI FI Channel announced that it has renewed its original series Battlestar Galactica for a third season. Production on the 20-episode order is slated to begin in Vancouver, Canada, in February 2006 for premiere later in the year, the network said.

The entire ensemble cast returns for the new season, including Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Grace Park. Also returning are executive producer and writer Ronald D. Moore and executive producer David Eick.

Currently in its second season, Galactica is a hit with audiences. The second season resumes with new episodes on Jan. 6, 2006, as part of the winter premiere of SCI FI Friday. Battlestar Galactica is from NBC Universal Television Studio.

DS9 did not always have the continuous story arc and sweeping battles that it came to have later. These were under direct B5 influence.

I think the main reason why they do it so they don't have to go against the regular networks...

SG1 and Atlantis has been renewed.. I like the new direction that SG1 is going. Atlantis is better, my beef that it is to international. I think us yanks should run the Ancient city imho...

To paraphase a producer of SG:1, they did a blood transfusion from the Farscape series to the SG:1 series and it seems to have worked.

Though, besides Ben Browder and Cladia Black, they also have included in this season; Beau Bridges, Louis Gossett Jr, Gardiner Millar and Lexa Doig. It looks more like they did a full heart/lung transplant and it took.

The original stargate cast was good, but adding this much talent takes the show up a notch to great.

I would say that problem has been solved in this season. :)

Yeah, Clone Wars ruled.

I cannot wait for Vol 2 to come out on DVD early next month along with the first half of Gargoyles Season 2.

I don't think Baltar would, he's too worried about his own rear end to try and help anyone else. Boomer didn't even know she was a Cylon at the time, so I don't see her having any subliminal programming to tip off Adama. So I'll have to go with number 3.
