Yes, Joyous, not angry!
Yeah, we check, but for the most part their great and their return policy is second to none.
That's why I now buy US Savings Bonds for them at birthday and Christmas time...with 6 grandkids I can't afford to waste the money on toys...that's their parents job...:)
WALMART is not "banning the use of Merry Christmas". This has been discussed to death, and Walmart has made it clear that "associates" are free to offer the "Merry Christmas" greeting.

When you buy from Costco, you are supporting organized labor and the Democrat Party.

Welcome Newbie! What's your source for this?
Here kitty, kitty??? (O'Reilly's investigation found only Sears/Kmart and Kohls were anti-Christmas.)

It's amazing that these companies that depend on Christmas sales for the bottom line, do this stuff to hurt their own business. Political correctness needs to die.
I support the capitalist system. I shop where I get the best prices. When they had the Swift Boat vets book out, I knew that whatever their politics were, they were capitalists at heart. (They also had Clinton's book and the 'Shrill' ones book too.)
On a like note, here's Larry the Cable Guy from Blue Collar Comedy with "The Night Before a Non-Denominational Winter Holiday."

How about "Happy Birthday Jesus" and cut to the chase? The "J" Name should get them shaking in their boots (which is not a bad thing).
77% of Americans are Christian, 1.3% are Jewish, .5% are Muslim, and a negligible percentage are Wiccan. That leaves about 20% with no religious affiliation. Now I would bet that at least half of that 20% still celbrate Christmas in some way. That means that approximately 87% of the US celbrates Christmas, or at least identifies with it. So for the sake of the 13%, we who love Christmas must see it morph into Generic Winter Celebration? I don't think so.
What would merchants do without the last 5 weeks of the year? They need those Christmas sales. And yet, they would deny those Christmas shoppers the one message that validates the purchases they are making! I think it's time to send a message to them: Wish me a Merry Christmas when I do the same to you, or I'm leaving my unpaid-for basket of goodies at the check stand and marching out, in search of a Christian friendly store. I don't care how good the prices are or how much time it took me to find what I was looking for. There's more to Christmas than money and things.
I agree, the commercialization of Christmas pretty much sucks. I think it should be celebrated for what it is, The day of our Saviors birth.
I saw a commercial this morning for True Value Hardware. They mentioned Christmas many times. I need a new socket set - maybe I'll go there...
I just respond with "Merry Christmas" and this usually gives said checkout clerk a bad case of saucer eyes. The clerk has no power over what she can say unless she wants to be fired.

Funny because Sears used to use "Wrap up a beautiful Christmas at Sears" as their Christmas slogan.
I haven't shopped out of a catalog in a long time (thank you, Internet!), but I'm sure that they are now "Winter Holiday Season Gift Guides" or something equally nauseous.
