'NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH BRIAN WILLIAMS' PULLS AHEAD; WIDENS THE GAP OVER ABC TO 1.4 MILLION VIEWERS Tue Nov 15 2005 14:22:15 ET
"NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" had a big ratings win last week, topping ABC's "World News Tonight" by a 16% or +1.390 million viewers - representing the program's best advantage over ABC since the week of the Brokaw/Williams anchor transition (November 29, 2004).
For the week of November 7 - 11, 2005, "Nightly News" attracted an impressive 10.172 million total viewers, ABC placed a distant second with 8.782 million and CBS' "Evening News" closed in on ABC with 8.069 million viewers.
This also represents "Nightly's" best delivery in total viewers since the week of August 29, 2005 (Hurricane Katrina) and excluding that week, the broadcast's best delivery since the week of February 28, 2005. "Nightly News" has now placed first in total viewers for 70 of the last 71 weeks.
Impacting...
It doesn't fall into the "broadcast" category.
Fox News is cable.
Apparently you have super secret information as to where fox broadcasts an over the airwaves nightly news program.
Are you intentionally being obtuse?
Frankly, I don't watch any of them. The entire bunch makes me sick to my stomach. There is not enough Malox on the store shelves to keep it from rolling while attempting to watch a newscast. Hell, you cannot even watch a sporting even without some political crap popping up on it now. The other morning, Jessie Jackson about T.O. I turned it off.
Guess you should maybe find out the facts before posting in the future.
Different markets.
What happened to warrant this I wonder. It seems Abc is tanking and those people are turning to NBC.
NBC= Fairly unbalanced reporting
"Apparently you have super secret information as to where fox broadcasts an over the airwaves nightly news program. "
Channel 68, Syracuse,NY and Channel 31, Rochester,NY at 10:00pm.
Every night.
This is about the alphabets.
Over 26-million draw for the BIG THREE. Going down every year, just not quick enough.
They are the networks of the "unwilling".
yeah.
Which show is it?
Anywhere near the time of the other nightly programs? Nope.
One market?
Ok.
Never said they were on at the same time as the others.
Just pointing out that they do 'broadcast' news!
what show though?
I've never heard of any local fox station offering a rebroadcast of Fox News Channel news programming. Seriously.
They rebroadcast 'excerpts' and 'highlights'.
Mostly like other local TV stations do.
Although Fox does do 'breaking news' the same as the other networks.
so they don't have a national show, just a local affilliate using clips from FNC? That's what other stations do, but it doesn't make it a national nightly show like ABC, CBS and NBC have.
No. It's not a nightly national show like the rest, but a FOX affiliate. So I see where your point is.
