Two parents are in trouble with the law and may permanently lose custody of their two children, thanks to a phone call from the other side of the world to Webster.
Ken Sullivan said he has worked as a contractor mechanic in Iraq, and although it was difficult, he said he tried to talk to his daughters in Houston daily.
"These are my daughters," said Sullivan. The photos of 5-year-old Jocelyn and 3-year-old Kaitlyn are a little worn from the mileage.
Learning their stepfather had allegedly locked Kaitlyn in the garage on Friday made him mad.
"I tried to find out what was going on. In short, I finally ended up calling the cops from Iraq. They went in and found Kaitlyn, my 3-year-old, in the garage," Sullivan said.
Investigators said the 3-year-old was locked in a dark garage on a urine soaked blanket with gasoline nearby

Sure, the "Women bad- Men good" is the common prevailing opinion in family court.../sarcasm OFF.
True. But the underlying human nature is pretty strongly against the practice, and it takes a very well-disciplined person to do it.
I applaud and deeply appreciate your efforts to provide your children with uninhibited loving parental guidance& care. I will not stand silent, while some folks choose to dissuade & disparage Fatherhood over failed Motherhood.
As you can well recognize- I was responding to your post # 13, not the thread article. Regardless, I agree the natural father saved his child. The creeps involved, were this child's Mother & Whatever.

And these folks were fighting for custody? What model parents. /sarcasm
"Apparently they've been fighting for three-and-a-half years and they're still fighting over custody of the kids, which doesn't help the situation at all," said Cecilia Longoria of Texas Children's Protective Services.
---Now we know why the real daddy has been fighting for custody for over three years. Maybe someone should start listening to him.
Of course. They want the child support for themselves.
Follow the money.
Sad but true. That it's all about the money. Too bad for the girls, at least until Dad gets back from active duty.
She is clearly nuts. But we don't know whether dad is really all that good, either. We've got his say-so, and that's about it.
I notice, for example, that the custody battle has been going on for 3.5 years. How interesting -- the youngest kid is about that age. Something tells me there was unpleasantness involved, and it wasn't just the nutso mom.
At any rate, dear old Dad had best stop traveling to Iraq if he wants to keep these kids.
Bumping this for the day crew.
