I was watching the Pats game...another close one. The lead changed 3 times in the last 5 minutes...Dolphins marched down the field and had 4 shots from the 5 and didn't score.
I saw the Giants tie and get 2 point...I was expecting to see overtime and the TV says 24 -21...the D really messed up, how did the Vikes get in FG range so fast?

The Giants went into 'prevent' defense. It was puzzling; why change from what worked all day? Oh well.
Also, I forgot about Bennet's fumble. Must've been outside when it happened. Oh well.

Sideline passes and attacking the secondary, which is what we should have done from the beginning of the game.
Our line trying to run into the middle of that defense is stupid especially with a dancer like Bennett. Naturally, Tice tried it for two and a half quarters.
Manning had the worst game of his season. The Giants will be fine.

how did the Vikes get in FG range so fast? Looked like a pre-vent D to me. The G-Men were giving the Vikes everything underneath, and Min. took advantage of the situation by completing a few 10 - 15 yard outs.
The overwhelming majority of the time the only thing pre-vent defenses prevent is the team employing it from winning...
But coaches never learn. ....especially conservative ones like Coughlin.
