(Vanity) Aztlan and La Raza: The next Al Qaeda

Posted on 11/12/2005 9:33:29 PM PST by abt87

With the riots going on in Paris right now, the problem rests in the fact that there is economic unrests and demographic changes that have caused problems in France. However, the French are not even trying to assimilate these Muslim youths who are of North African descendant. Would it surprise anyone here if similar problem start happening with Hispanics in our country? We have fringe groups like Aztlan and La Raza that want break off the Southwest and "liberate" it in the name of Mexico and "Aztec Power!" (to paraphrase "white power!" if you will.) Is it not unimaginable for millions of unassimilated and unemployed Hispanic youths taking their grievences of economic hardship out on people? Is it not unimaginable that these extremist groups may try to take on American versions of Hamas? For all we know, if illegal immigration continues with a steady stream, and Mexican-Americans are not learning English, they will end up living in ghettoes just as segregated as the Algerians and Tunisians in Paris. Can you picture a suicide bomber under the banner of "¡liberación por Aztlan!" blowing himself up in Hollywood at the 2026 Oscars?

"What BS this is. I was married to a Latina in Corpus Christi for 15 years. We raised our family there. Her uncle repaired Hueys at the Army Depot there during and after the Vietnam war. The Army found the mostly Mexican-American labor there to be the most patriotic, most gung-ho workforce in the USA."

That's because people who work on military bases tend to be patriotic. What you saw was a small, non-representative sample that does not translate to the entire population, and extrapolated. That's why your conclusion is not logical.

" Ignore him. It's just typical ignorant California bashing."

Good luck with your pump-action magazineless rifles. Furthermore, good luck arming yourself in "The City." You're gonna need it.

"Comparing our Mexican immigrants with France's Muslim immigrants is ridiculous and fear mongering by those with an agenda."

Ah, the open borders lobby of FR speaks up, as usual appropriating Dem tactics of painting people who disagree with you as having an "agenda" and implying it's racist. You, of course, have no agenda.... right? Now all we are missing is for Dane to come chime in with her DUHHHHH, I mean UH! comments. So predictable.

It's far from ridiculous or fear mongering. Hint, which religion is aggressively recruiting in prisons? Does the name Jose Padilla ring a bell? Do you know what is going on in South America in the tri-border region with Hizballah and Iranian intelligence? There's a nexus between these things, and it ain't pretty.

You have more in common with my congressman, Ed "Red" Pastor and his buddy from southern AZ Raul Grivalja than you do any Conservative.

Comparing our Mexican immigrants with France's Muslim immigrants is ridiculous...

Your are right. The illegal mexicans are far more dangerous if only because of the sheer number of invaders.

You don't seem to know the difference between an American citizen and an illegal alien. Mexicans happen to be the major group of illegals. o jump on your BS box somewhere else.

I have never advocated open borders. You are dishonest.

There's a nexus between these things, and it ain't pretty.

Bad logic.

Why? Because you say so? The erosion of the United States is happening with the introduction of millions of invaders. It's not happening as fast as it would with terrorist attacks but it's happening.

And you represent ignorant with a capital I.

"The City", San Francisco, actually is a very small part of the state. Besides, do you really think that those in SF proper that are armed are going to turn them in? Most will move first or, more likely, ignore the law until the NRA and CRPA get it overturned.

What is this pump action magazineless gibberish of which you speak? I have several bolt and lever action, magazine fed rifles, several handguns etc. If it were my interest, I could legally have semi-auto's the same as every farmer, rancher and (with 2 exceptions) engineer that I know.

For your own edification, you might look back at how many Koreans with guns materialized to defend their property during the Rodney King riots. You also might take a trip out here and learn what it is really like here...Then please go back home.

Very true and good rebuttal to their emotional propaganda.

You have never approved of any plan to close them, either. Talk about dishonest!

" "The City", San Francisco, actually is a very small part of the state."

Geographically small, but a huge population centerm especially if you count the rest of the extended liberal bay area.

"Most will move first or, more likely, ignore the law until the NRA and CRPA get it overturned."

If they haven't moved from the indignities of living in SF by now, this won't do it either. Good luck to the NRA - who is going to overturn it, the CA Supremes? The 9th Circus? The State Legislature. Bwahahah!

"What is this pump action magazineless gibberish of which you speak? I have several bolt and lever action, magazine fed rifles, several handguns etc."

I've been to gun shops in California. They make me glad to live in AZ. Bolt action! Good for hunting critters, not useful in an urban SHTF situation. Lever action, same. Magazine fed rifles... How many rounds does that magazine hold? 10. Unless it LOOKS like a military weapon, in which case it's illegal.see http://caag.state.ca.us/firearms/dwcl/12275.htm

"For your own edification, you might look back at how many Koreans with guns materialized to defend their property during the Rodney King riots."

That was before the latest round of gun control laws were passed. Shotguns with pistol grips are banned now, for example.

"You also might take a trip out here and learn what it is really like here..."

I'm in California all the time. I've been there 4 or 5 times this year, and I'm going there again in December.

"Then please go back home."

Always happy to :)

Then please go back home.

The answer is no because most mexicans like the US and americans in general.

I don't know about "most", but I do know that the most vocal, the biggest bullies do not. I worked with a bunch of illegals in a direct mail warehouse once and they were intimidated into not speaking English. There were some very mean people in control of things there, and some sheep who were afraid to not go along. One of them told me what was going on, in private. I offended the 'matriarch' by criticising her for having lived here in the U.S. for 9 years and not learning English. I was soon fired from that job.
