With the riots going on in Paris right now, the problem rests in the fact that there is economic unrests and demographic changes that have caused problems in France. However, the French are not even trying to assimilate these Muslim youths who are of North African descendant. Would it surprise anyone here if similar problem start happening with Hispanics in our country? We have fringe groups like Aztlan and La Raza that want break off the Southwest and "liberate" it in the name of Mexico and "Aztec Power!" (to paraphrase "white power!" if you will.) Is it not unimaginable for millions of unassimilated and unemployed Hispanic youths taking their grievences of economic hardship out on people? Is it not unimaginable that these extremist groups may try to take on American versions of Hamas? For all we know, if illegal immigration continues with a steady stream, and Mexican-Americans are not learning English, they will end up living in ghettoes just as segregated as the Algerians and Tunisians in Paris. Can you picture a suicide bomber under the banner of "¡liberación por Aztlan!" blowing himself up in Hollywood at the 2026 Oscars?
Not even close. Go spout your bile on another site.
Sounds painful.
And it's fear mongering, not fish or mutton.
You have got to be kidding. Show me one time this ever happened in history. Show me one story about how an organized group of Mexicans, Guatemalans, Ecuadorians, Peruvians, Columbians, etc. went back and tried to change their country?
"And it's fear mongering"
That's what people were saying to various FR posters who, over the past couple of years, predicted the recent muslim chaos in France and Europe.
I think it's the ignorance of having to contemplate an undesriable reality that produces the fear.
To say this is a vanity is to put it mildly. Most of the paragraph is bilge...you cannot compare the rioting in France to the potential for unrest resident in our Southwest right now.
But, for the naysayers on this thread, I have a reality that you need to wake up to. There is a hardcore element here in America that would love to see Anglos brought down. And they are finding fertile converts in California and Arizona prisons, as well as in the Salvadoran street gangs that have infiltrated cities all across this country.
To deny that trouble is brewing right now is tantamount to sticking your head in the sand.
Now, is that fear-mongering? I don't think so. I think that is a forewarning of a future that we can shape now, but may not be able to shape a decade or a generation from now.
Unfortunately, your scenario is probably the most likely.
Does it need time to ferment?? :)
susie
And just how do you know that most in "PRC" are disarmed?
Most of the "Latinos" in my neighborhood would qualify as being white. I think most of their cultural and entitlement attitudes stink. You are mistaking cultural prejudice for racial in this instance.
So what? 95% of Mexican Americans want nothing to do with Mexico. They are Americans hasta las gacha (to the bone). Take a hard look at our troops overseas right now. Look at our casualty list and tell me that those Hispanics are not the best and the brightest this country produces.
If a bunch of leftist collage racist want-a-be revolutionaries think they can take by force one inch of US soil, they are deluded. 50% of my friends are Hispanic and to a man there is not a one that would not willing sacrifice his life to defend this country.
But riots may happen.
Well yes, they are a reoccurring problem in every country, even Canada.
Ignore him. It's just typical ignorant California bashing.
"...they will end up living in ghettoes just as segregated as the Algerians and Tunisians in Paris."
Sounds like the "Colonias" of South Texas!

Lawmaker: Terror war spilling across border

A U.S. lawmaker says elements of the war on terror are now spilling across the nation's southwestern border, and that colleagues he's spoken to who have seen the problem first-hand, as he has, say they felt safer "during trips to Iraq than they would have in a pickup truck on our southern border."
Rep. John A. Culberson, R-Texas, also says there has been an increase in apprehensions of so-called "special interest aliens," or SIAs aliens from countries where al-Qaida is known to be in operation along the U.S.-Mexico border, and that American law enforcement and intelligence agencies are aware of it.

What is a Colonia?
Texas Secretary of State's Definition: The term "colonia," in Spanish means a community or neighborhood. The Office of the Secretary of State defines a "colonia" as a residential area along the Texas-Mexico border that may lack some of the most basic living necessities, such as potable water and sewer systems, electricity, paved roads, and safe and sanitary housing.
In recent years the Texas-Mexico border region has experienced an explosion of growth in population and industrial activity. Although growth has resulted in economic opportunities, it has also intensified the environmental health and social challenges.
Among the border states, Texas has the largest number of colonias approximately 1,800 communities, with more than 500,000 residents. Sixty-five percent of all residents, and 85% of residents under the age of 18, were born in the United States. (aka Anchor babies) These Americans live in extreme poverty and often are unaware of the services that the United States and Texas can provide for them. Ninety-eight percent of the residents are Hispanic and speak little or no English.

Who said that? They were wrong.
Comparing our Mexican immigrants with France's Muslim immigrants is ridiculous and fear mongering by those with an agenda.
This ain't France.
Mexican suicide bombers? They don't need to do that, they are taking the safer route = colonization - with a pat on the back by our own government.
