Katie Holmes is quitting acting, to become a full time wife to Tom Cruise. The 'Batman Begins' beauty is one of Hollywoods most promising up and coming young stars.
But at age 26 she wants to ditch her blossoming film career and devote herself to bringing up the baby they are expecting next year.
A pal tells me 'Katie has decided to give up acting altogether. She's been telling friends that she and Tom have decided it is best that she stays at home and brings up their new baby.'
'Her decision is raising a lot of eyebrows in Hollywood. She is at the perfect age for so many screen roles and has completely closed the door on a promising career.'
Kate made her name with her brilliant role in the hit teenage series 'Dawson's Creek.' And made an impressive transition to the big screen in the recent summer blockbuster 'Batman Begins.'
Most girls would give their eye teeth to be the next Julia Roberts. But it looks like the opportunity will fall to another Hollywood starlet.
It also strikes me that Tom, a devoted follower of Scientology, is living in a time warp. If relationships are all about give and take, he hasn't given up much for her so far.

Oh, that silent birth thing? Yeah, that sounds absolutely nuts.
I am all for one parent staying home with the kids. Both my parents had to work, but my dad worked 3rd shift, so he was awake when I got home from school everyday. Let's just say that at least once a week, something in the house would either get broken, burned or somehow screwed up (my dad is the ultimate tinkerer/gourmet chef and was eager to pass his "skills" on to me). I think I had the most fun finding out everyday what our new project was and exactly how we were going to hide the usual disasterous results from my mom.

We can keep this up all night if you like. I very politely made my point. It flew in the face of feminism, and you found this offensive. We agree to disagree.
What people don't like isn't the idea of Katie staying at hme to take care of the kids. Rather, they don't like it because in this relationship, it looks as if she is the only one who's making any sacrifices, and not Tom. Also, probably many people here don't like the Ayatollah Cruisemeinei sucking a good Catholic girl like Katie into a deceptive, ruthless, and greedy cult like Scientology. Have you ever heard of Lisa McPherson?

Take a look at both those sites. They're very much worth you while.
Well, the Sun isn't exactly the most reliable source of info out there, IMHO. After all, it's a tabloid, is it not?
At an appointment the other day, I picked up a magazine, it had a little blurb that Katie Holmes was at a movie theatre with her "Scientology Keeper", and gave a woman's name, Katie had on a "device" strapped to her stomach that was making vibrating noises loud enough to be disturbing other movie goers. Some nonsense about passing energy waves to the baby. She was told to turn it off, she left in a huff with her "Keeper". I wondered at the time what the heck a "Keeper" was and why does she need one. Tom Cruise has gotten scary. Run Katie Run!
Was the name of the Keeper Jessica Fesbach or Jessica Rodriguez? Katie seemed to me to be a bright Catholic girl. I can't for the life of me understand why she's involved with such a whacko cult.
Jessica Rodriguez sounds correct. Why is she a high up? I guess she would have to be to keep Katie on a leash.
Actually, Jessica Feshback and Jessica Rodriguez are one and the same. :-) Rodriguez is her married name. I guess Katie's church never told her about Scientology, or if it had, then she apparently either not really listened or forgot.
Right up there with:
"If God does not exist, everything is permitted." ~ Dostoyevski
It's one that cuts both ways.
