I want this guy in the military

You want a guy in the military who can't run and make time; despite the fact that eveyrone else can make time? You are aware that a platoon is only as fast as the slowest member; so how many people should be killed because we drop standards so overweight and out of shape soldiers can join? Would you want him in your platoon? You have to move out; because you will otherwise be killed ... and you can't move out fast enough because you have a person who has "already exceeded the Army's height and weight requirements by 129 pounds."

Then you accuse the Liberals of reacting upon FEELINGS, instead of facts?

Jez. Who pee'd in your cereal this morning?

I never accused anyone one of anything. I just offered up an opinion on this guy. The military blew it my letting the guy in in the first place. They saw huge football player and didn't see how this would end. They knowingly violated their own rules and now want him to pay up. Dumb move, but they are in it now and have to find a mutually beneficial way around this obvious problem. The article clearly states that other options have been given to other graduates like the bike or walking.

And yes, I'd have this guy in my platoon. Moving out these days in typically done in Humvees and if you are planning an attack, this guy is 1) an officer who can be assigned many other jobs and 2) probably wouldn't go anyway.

Ligth'n up Hodar, its too early to be that worked up.
