Iraqis have a future of their own making. French Muslims have to rely on the arbitrary kindnesses of the French.

If the Iraqi constitution were not to pass, we would have seen a syrian counter-offensive in Lebanon. Now that it has passed, the Al-Seyassah Koweiti daily (Nov. 7 page 1)sees in the French intifada a hand of the Syrian and Iranian services in response to the French position vis-a-vis the nuclear iranian problem.
