I personally know the writer (Carey Hamilton) of this article. He's a good friend of mine. I think I'm going to call him at 3AM just to compliment him on his well-written article on insomnia. [ \\\\\ sarcasm ]

I have terrible insomnia (now averaging 6 hours a night, my best in a few years) and crazy phobia about sleeping pills. I think its Elvis syndrome.

benzodiazepine receptor agonists, including Ambien, Lunesta and Sonataum, I don't think this writer knows drug classes as well as a layman.

Since I am retired, I have the luxury of sleeping when I want to. It is never at the same time. What's nice is that I go sleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow. So nice, after years of trying to go to sleep, worrying, because I had to get up for work in a few hours.

35 million Americans suffer from insomnia Yeah... but I don't lose any sleep over it as long as they don't make me pay for their "sleep aids".
