Having gone from straight to gay, I suspect she would understand the story of someone who has gone from gay to straight.

Indeed. Perhaps this will help folks realize sexuality can be fluid in those confused about their sexuality.

Perhaps in an ironic twist, her coming-out story might add credibility to an aspect of human change many experts and activists say cannot happen.

Worth repeating...

Well now.

If you can go one way then that means you can go the other way.

Does that mean some people can go both ways? :-)

I would have read more than just the headline but the WNBA is a non-story as long as it is continually subsidized by the NBA.

They might be somewhat important if they could survive on their own.

You should read 'The New Gay Teenager'. The new gay teens will swing both ways and still be considered gay.

Just as quite-white Halle Berry is considered "black", as are Mariah Carey and Derek Jeter.

"Maybe it was just the fact that I needed that comfort. Or maybe she was there for me to talk to and I just got very comfortable being around her. Talking to her, seeing her spirit ... things evolved from there ..."

I would imagine that many are 'recruited' in this way. They're looking for friendship and they're sucked into the homosexual lifestyle, then think that it is their new 'normal'. This could be devastating, especially for teenagers, who are not mature enough to handle sexual experiences, that's why we encourage them NOT to engage in them! The teens may be in typical social confusion and upheaval, and along comes someone who wants to take advantage of that to please themselves. This teen is convinced that they MUST be homosexual, and that nothing will ever change that. Makes it difficult to get out of the lifestyle later because it's truly all they know.

I'd just consider them promiscuous.

My neighbor's wife woke up one morning and decided she was a lezzie after 10 years of being with him, 8 of them married. After a couple of years as a flaming lezzie, she woke up one morning and realized that, no, she WASN'T a lezzie after all, she was REALLY straight!!

Of course NONE of her sexual orientation could possibly be related to the fact that she had drained her ex-husband's bank account dry, or had drained her girlfriend's bank account dry and moved on to a guy with some money AND a business she could wreck!!!

Allow me to remind you of the Pushme-Pullyu in Dr. Doolittle.

"So when she came out of the closet recently, there was excitement in the gay and lesbian community about a high-profile public figure declaring herself a lesbian. "

Doesn't this happen just about every other day now? I wouldn't think it'd be such a major event anymore.

That's a good way to describe their behavior. The article seems to say the new gay teenager will be indistinguishable from a bisexual. That would appear to blur the lines...

Lisa Leslie is a much better ball player. I'd like to see her do a demo in the menBA. She is still the only pro player to slam in a game. She has also won the MVP and various All Star awards.

Maybe it's not so much about being gay, but about being unfulfilled sexually in a relationship? She left her husband after 8? years.....maybe she 'turned' gay as she was left unsatisfied. Who knows, after 8 years of being a lesbian Swoopes might realise that the gay lifestyle is nopt for her after all, just as your friends wife did.
All in all its a mess whichever way you look at it and I feel sorry for the husband and child.

Since polls show support for gay political objectives is higher among people who believe same-sex attraction is inborn, she may feel some pressure to change her story or her view of it.

The real reason homosexuals insist they must be born that way.
