One of the places on my list.
Living in the west provides me with plenty of venues - but not a lot of opportunities to see places like Wright Pat.

As someone that grew up there, I have to concede there is not much reason to visit Dayton apart from the Museum (although they have a pretty nice air show every year).
To: Steelerfan
That's the other thing....
Airshow acts usually stay local - so, I've seen every single West Coast act about 50 times - but have never seen some of the others. Reno gives me the opportunity to see new ones - people like to go there because of the size of the crowd, et al.
I really should put together a trip to Dayton for the show and museum. I'll start conniving, I mean planning now.

Hey!
Discovery doesn't do enough of this stuff anymore. I loved WINGS - now it's Military Channel - which we still watch - but not as much.
Please feel free to FRMail me to alert me to which show you were on - I'll watch it again and again.

Excellent!
I'm glad everyone is enjoying this quiz. I thought it was a fun way to share our WW2 Warbird knowledge.
Thanks!

The guys with the Mats Connie at Avra Valley airport say it does pretty good offroad too. They made it through the perimeter fence, across the road, broke through the concrete irrigation ditch and ended up out in the cotton field. Stayed on its wheels too.

Interesting. I was a firefighter at DMAFB circa 79-80. After our C-119 roaster blew up, they hauled a 121 out for us to burn. Didn't have much visible damage. Same bird?
