We are all witness to a historic event, the beginning of the Islamic Jihad in France and the Netherlands, soon to be spread to the rest of Western Europe. As Paris burns, as the Christian infrastructure is being destroyed, as some of the most fundimental historical foundations of the Western world is now threatened, it is foolish to allow negative feelings for past deeds by the French or any other to cloud our collactive judgements.
We should not snicker, we should not cheer, we should not jab them in the ribs. We are Christians, might I remind you, and the wayward brother now suffers and it is a suffering that we are creating for our own future as well. Our Muslim population does not integrate so well as we would like to believe. Furthermore, as the Oklahoma University bombing shows, more then a few of our own children are willing to join that Islamic scourge and bring down the civilization that gave them life.
Instead, as Christians, as something other then petty human beings, we must assist our Christian brothers, be they French, Lebanese, Cypriots, Russians, Serbs, Ethiopians or any other, to fight the very scourge that will one day trully come for us as well.
If we wish to even pretend to be Christian, it is time to act like it. It is time to see these barbarians for what they are, not just a threat to France but to all Judeo-Christian civilization.
We either stand united or we fall one by one, a light of civilization blinking out here and there, until the night of eternal evil and slavery is all that is left to humanity.
So which will it be? Christ and brotherhood? Or pettiness and eternal darkness?
They hate the West. Why are they here ?
Perhaps the attitude stems from the son of a bitchery the French government perpetrated against us in the run up to the war, which made things harder for us and perhaps cost the lives of some of our men.
It might have something to do with the French supplying the Hussein regime with hard currency and weaponry during the embargo.
Or perhaps it was the indignation of many Americans who see the white crosses at the Cemetery in Normandy, and know that because of the sacrifice of those men lying in repose there, that the French can enjoy coffee at their sidewalk cafes without the annoying sound of jackboots.
I suggest the attitude of many Americans emanates less from the spectacle of riots in that country, but more from the ironic exercise of seeing the French government hoisted on its own petard.
There are a lot of good, decent people in France. However, the American reservoir of goodwill towards that country in general has been drained quite a bit by the actions of their leadership.
We can't help them if they won't help themselves!
It's sir. And thank you. So many are blinded by the pettiness and snearing and fail to see that all they do is play to the Islamics and sacrifice their own future as well.
It is time for the First Crusade of The New Millenium.
Your point remains unclear. Are you righting us off the same way you are doing France?
righting=writing
Goodness, yes. If the Dutch thought France was a good place to hang their hat for a while, they don't think so now!
These folks aren't rioting because they hate the West. They are rioting because they want more money.
At some point they have to be accountable for their actions. Snickering is about as benevolent as we can be right now, since what they really deserve is our wrath.
This posting of yours was badly needed, I feel the same way. I also agree with other that this is a wake up call for europe, a warning of what is coming on a wider scale.
This will force changes in how Europe views the conflicts in Israel and even Serbia, it will affect talks with Turkey to join the EU, it will affect all sorts of policies and perspectives in a good way. Will Europe sanction the UN forcably splitting Kosovo from Serbia, when muslim birth rates will inevitably result in the same cleaving result in their own countries? Will Europe show the same arrogance in condemning the tough choices Israel needs to make in handling their violent muslim populations, when now they will have to make the same choices? How can crazy European immigration policies persist in light of the rioting in several countries? However terrible facing these problems is today, it would have been 100 times worse if it had happened 20 years from now instead.
I think one of the best things we can do is to teach each other (and the French) the true lessons of history.
You are right that we would be fools to simply keep our hands on our hips, saying I told you so, when disasters in our own country may not be far behind.
Isn't it amazing to see the Charles De Gaule flyer someone posted above, it applies perfectly today word for word as written in WWII.
The hell we shouldn't.
"While they do nothing they deserve no sympathy"
Unlike we, responding to the mayhem in New Orleans?
Or: "Let them try. We will destroy them."
New Orleans?
Or: "What percent of our population hates America, and which ones would actually do this same thing."
Again, (yes) New Orleans? Los Angeles?
It's not France, it's the Western Civilization that's under attack. It's coming to your neighbourhood soon, while the politicians fiddle and worry about re-election, and the voters worry about having the gummint pay for their bicycle paths.
France will eventually succumb to the Islamofacist and become their allies just like the Vichay Government did during WWII.
The end game will come when the US finally wakes up , takes the gloves off and mass bombs or Nukes civilian centers Mecca , Medina ,Damascus to start.God has led the way and shown the enemey what a Nuke can do by causing an earthquake in Pakistan. 100,000 dead and 2 million homeless. Only then will the enemy realize it is useless to wage war and surrender. Lets follow his lead.
Failure to do so will be the end of us.
I really don't think this is that big a deal. If anything, it might serve a wake up call to the Europeans about what they've welcomed into their midst. However, if the minarets do go up at Chartres and Notre Dame, we'll know the downfall of Western civilization is inevitably at hand..
No... In the final analysis, while we have adopted much of France's socialistic tendencies, we STILL have the 2nd Amendment and a large percentage of the population willing to fight and die to defend our property and our way of life.
France lost that spirit long ago.
