All right, look. The corridors you're in tend to change their orientation depending on what you think about.
Most of them are rather cooperative. The problem seems to be that up doesn't mean what it used to anymore. Try going through the corridors seeking a right turn.
Coriolis effects will cause a right turn to move upward, and you will soon find yourself seeing artificial daylight again.
