I usually like Boston Public. Tonight, one of the fictional cases is a woman suing the US Army for fraud that resulted in her brother's death in Iraq.
In one portion of the "trial" an Army sergeant is trapped into admitting that under the Stop-Loss program, the soldier's military commitment was extended to the year 2031.
I couldn't stop laughing.
Don't you mean boston legal?
Yea i love boston legal, james spader and william shatner make the show for me, i just HATE all the liberal plugs. Although liberal plugs aside its still an enjoyable show
PS, i'd try to get the mods to rename the thread, i dont think boston public is on the air anymore.
Liberal, preachy TV must be an epidemic tonight. Law and Order has a plot about neo-Nazis in New York City (Staten Island, of course, because it's the only borough who voted for Bush.) And Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden's got this heavy southern "redneck" accent, even though she's supposed to play a New York Nazi. Total kneejerk nonsense.
If I really wanted to experience that sort of entertainment I'd let my former girlfriends slam me in the crotch with a shovel...
Yeah, I meant Boston Legal. Doh.
Boston Public, Boston Legal, or Boston Baked Beans, I've never seen the show. My TV doesn't do anything other than sports, ESPN, History Channel, TLC, old movies and like that there.
That is pretty funny, though!
Network trial balloon - the show can withstand one terribly biased episode. This will get shot down and they'll go back in their holes for another 3 months. Either that or it's an all out assault with more to come.
Did you catch when they had Hindus hating Jews? And, they had the nerve to preach to us about Political Correctness?
I completely disagree. Shatner's character is brilliant. His pro-Second Amendment argument a few weeks ago was great.
never watched, never will.
My mom asked me to try out the show tonight so I did; bad timing as I don't think I'll catch a second one even though I'm a big Capt. Kirk fan.
Yeah, I had high hopes but I gave up on that show last year. Can't stand the Bush bashing.
If I really wanted to experience that sort of entertainment I'd let my former girlfriends slam me in the crotch with a shovel...
That is ROTF funny.
It really is a great show. I suggest giving it another chance.
The anti-war argument tonight was just laughable. Nobody is being forced to stay in the military for 26 years.
Yeah but I think they have come out and said he was stricken stupid from mad cow disease or something like that. Even if he makes a good argument, he still looks like a buffoon to the average viewer.
It is, however, just a tv program
David Kelley has been a gibbering, Christian-hating socialist since way back.
You'd think he'd have the courage of his convictions to move to Cuba since he verbally embraces everything they stands for.
But that would be assuming that he had a spine.
I think they lost a lot of viewers tonight. I know at work, it was starting to become a "water cooler" talk type show. Most of us are conservative and hopefully professionals who relate to the sophisticated humor. I know the one or 2 lefties will be beaming tomorrow, but the rest of us will be ticked off and will not watch the show again.
Nah, you can just point out to the lefties that the leftist argument in the show was just dumb, and that's why they lost in both of the cases.
