The idea of a trailer is a good one. We had a dear friend in the hospital for an extended (and, unfortunately, final) stay. Her husband would not leave the hospital at all ... for one thing, 'home' was an hour away. All knew and accepted that Sally would not be going home and Thomas wanted to be sure to be there at the end.
Some friends of theirs had one of those really plush motor homes and they parked it in the hospital parking lot, insisting that Thomas go there for showering, rest, and even some of his meals while other family members kept watch at the bedside. It was a real blessing for all because it kept the rest of the family from worrying quite as much about Thomas since he did take advantage of it.
