Remember when you were a kid and you were all excited about Christmas? Well, democrats were so giddy about the apparently impending indictments of Libby and Rove that they started saying, "Merry Fitzmas". Now, remember when you had your heart set on the one item you wanted for Christmas and you cast aside sweaters, scarves and the like as you seached for the coveted item under the tree? Well, my friends, it is Fitzmas morning and all the democrats got were socks!
No charges pertaining to the outing of a CIA agent. No charges against Rove. The best they can get is perjury and obstruction against Libby -- and that isn't even related to the alleged crime. Now, if Libby committed the crime he should lose his job, plead guilty and take is slap on the wrist. But this is certainly not the execution our pal AL Franken was hoping for.
While we're on the subject of socks, Sandy Burglar didn't even serve time for shoving classified documents in his and then lying about it. So Libby shouldn't do any time -- assuming the rules are same for republicans (which is a big assumption.)
Now, if Al Franken wants to satisfy his lust to execute someone for treason, I suggest he look at Marc Rich. I wonder how much oil-for-food blood money is in the bricks and mortar of the Clinton Library?

Any word on how pjcomix made out from the hurricane? Hope he's doing all right. This would be grand DUFU material.

Pony poop for sure! Served nice and warm! I'm listening to this jerk-off prosecutor try to justify his trumped-up charges. Talk about a convoluted, insignificant bunch of nothing----particularly when you consider Plame was a "desk jockey" and there weren't even any charges relating to her "outing"! It sounds like he is trying to convince the rest of us that this REALLY IS important stuff. News, guy, its absolutely irrelevant! I couldn't care less.

After reading the indictments and getting to the end I wondered to myself "Is this it? 20 pages of he-said MSM-said BS? Two years of investigation about this?"
Plus this lovely nugget of so-called "fact" on page 3 kills the whole 2 year 20 page thesis:
This is the major premise of the whole shootin-match and it has been proven false and will be proven false again. The whole bunch of indictments is built upon a house of cards...

Soccermom,
Thats a great analogy. By the way, I took a peek at DU and some of them are acting all happy saying that they got their wish. However, the more realistic ones are upset because they think Rove skated. They still have their hopes up that Fitzpatrick still is gunning for Rove.
