I am totally paranoid about blowing things up, too. I understand. And I get freaked out by fire, so . . . .I would have had a conniption fit induced heart attack if I were you.

Well,
When I was a kid, we had those gas space heaters. And if you were the first one up in the morning, you lit it. The rules being "light the match, THEN turn on the gas".

However, I'm not a morning person. Never have been. I can appear awake, even to myself, and still be very asleep. So when I as about 10, I got up, turned on the gas and then struck the match.

~~sigh~~I looked like the Mona Lisa for weeks. And eyelashes hurt when they're growing back.

As for my brother...he's so happy to have me out of his house, he's practically doing back flips. I think he was more afraid of me becoming homeless than anything else.
