The documentary I saw on it was pretty succinct about the damage it would do to the world. Those who weren't immediately affected would die because of the inability of crops to grow, and of course, the lack of oxygen that dead plants would provide.

Of course, it coulda been another lefty Gloom'n'Doom movie, but there is enough data to make one think seriously about the desire to live here (on earth) if the Yellowstone Caldera blows.

we'd have a bit of an Ice Age as a result, but human life would definitely survive.

high technology would probably also survive.

not saying it would be fun, but it wouldn't be Judgement Day either
