MUI if Yellowstone Caldera blows it is the end of life on Planet Earth.

Really. It would create an ash cloud that would cover he earth and essentially stop all growth on the planet.

Sort of like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters.

That's what the vulcanologists have been saying. I'm thinking we won't be here when it happens, anyway, so I'm not going to worry.

If anyone is left alive, they won't last long.

Correction: It is only likely to exterminate North American life, and severely impact the rest of the globe for a generation or more. Remember, it has blown before.

Yet one more reason that humans, and Americans in particular, should be the primary colonists into space.
