Oh. (Nowq I feel like a Philistine.. from Gath. Not too bright and clumping around like an ox.) ;-)
Sam-Sung. Wonder why the electronics company chose that as a name and what it means. That would be a surprise to see.

Yah. I went to their site to see if that was in the "history" section, but it's too much for a slow dialup connection.

OOOHHH! This is going to be so much fun! Have to find a really good name for one of the unknows. Maybe the Yiddish word for STUPID, oh wait, that would BE Bill Maher.

Jupiter has four large moons and dozens of smaller ones (there are about 60 known moons so far). Galileo first discovered the four largest moons of Jupiter, Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto in 1610, using a 20-power telescope; these moons are known as the Galilean moons.

The moons of Jupiter are (in order by their distance from Jupiter): Metis, Adrastea, Amalthea, Thebe, Io, Europa, Ganymede (the biggest), Callisto (the second biggest), Leda (the smallest), Himalia, Lysithea, Elara, Ananke, Carme, Pasiphae, Sinope, and many newly-discovered moons that haven't been named yet.

You guys are way off base. Better be glad Dead Corpse and King Prout didn't overhear you.

First off, there will be no placating or supplicating or toadying because of aliens. (In any case we would have needed French Vanilla for that, anyway.)

I have included a backup plan for dealing with aliens should the need arise. We have a gross of Rubik's Cubes safely stored away to be offered as a "Peace-Gift" to our visiting star travelers.

When they and their superior intellects and technology admit defeat, we'll trade the solution to the Rubik's Cubes for Warp Drive engines.

That is truly diabolical. I like it.

Don't feel bad. A few weeks I knew virtually nothing about Korea and Korean. But going there was an incentive to learn *something*!

As next year's meeting is in Paris, do I learn a bit a French, or just take my wife along (French is her other native tongue, of the dozen or so she speaks)?

My phrasebook shelf is growing... Scandinavia, German, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Farsi. (The last is speculative.) Next up: Polish (maybe, 12/2005), French (maybe, 10/2006), Arabic (2007), Dutch (2008)...

Isn't it just? I have a nephew who mastered it in three days. As soon as I found out it was invented by a mathmatician, I said that was all I needed to hear...

Alas tomorrow is another day of duty and toil. I bit you all good nite!

Good night, sweetheart,
Till we meet tomorrow,
Good night sweetheart,
Sleep with banish sorrow.
Tears and parting
May make us forlorn,
But with the dawn
A new day is born,
So I'll say
Good night, sweetheart,
Tho' I'm not beside you,
Good night, sweetheart,
Still my love will guide you
Dreams enfold you,
In each one I'll hold you,
Good night, sweetheart, good night.

I solved the cube. But the cylinder drove me batty.

I finally gave it away, still unsolved.

Seattle even welcomed me with cool, rainy weather.

Isn't it great? We've put the ski racks on the car and we're ready!
