“So…since he’s such a great Christian guy, I’m sure he didn’t try to get you to sleep with him. I mean, he’s protecting your purity and all, right?” I had a bad feeling about this guy already. My cynicism was beginning to show.

“Well…he’s not legalistic about it. I mean, we are adults and he said as long as we’re committed to each other it’s the same as being married.” Her own convictions had seemingly evaporated overnight.

The second comments above are a perfect example of a woman having a malleable mind so as to enforce her illusions of finding Prince Charming on the inter-net.

A few years ago it became obvious to me that men pursuing women and politicians use exactly the same techniques ... tell them what they want to hear; and it has nothing to do with the truth. We are the ones "stuck on stupid" for believing their words in the absence of evidence. Unbelievable but true. Let our prejudices be weakened and truth be strengthened in our malleable thought processes.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. None of us are perfect, but if you are in basic agreement with the most important things in life, hey, you've got a match.

This is my favorite: Lie #6: Coincidences are a sign from God.

Unfortunately, I don't believe in coincidences. Things happen for a reason, good and bad.

Enough from me. A++++ for you, Countyline. And thanks for bringing the article in!
