The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

Weather here sucks, we are getting the remnants of Wilma. It's about 42 degrees(f) cold, heavy rain and very windy here on the Connecticut shoreline. These are exactly the kind of days that make me thankful I went to college instead of working in the trench for the rest of my life!

Ouch! I planted yesterday. It only got up to 83. My back is telling me I did too much. My back is not very malleable. I could never be in cold weather.

I don't know how much more of the cold weather I can take either. It's fall, and my flowers are about ready to die off. I hate it. Also, my hands don't works so well under about 55 degrees anymore. Too much tme in the cold water while I was in the CG and afterwards.
What were you planting? 83? That's beer drinking weather! Oh yeah, everything is beer drinking weather.

oh that's the least of my problems today. i feel just terrible. today is xsteen's 17th birthday. yesterday was her court date to get her driver's license. they have to show up and hear a spiel from a judge etc. and they had them the permanent license. her temp license expired the day before. well i was mistaken about the location of the courthouse, so we didn't get there in time. now she has to wait for a court-generated notice of the next date for this court thing, and she has no license to drive alone in the meantime. i feel soooooooooooooo horrible. she cried, i cried. and there is not a thing i can do to correct it, other than just wait for the next date. and it's all my fault.
