Its amazing to see (some) of us are eagerly waiting for ABA to release their ratings on Miers, while we opposed the use of the ratings on judicial selection before
Its amazing to see (some) of us are cheering when Bush said he didnt look at polls but now we use his low numbers on the polls to persuade him to change his mind
Its amazing to see (some) of us are okay with 2 Republican Senators demanding documents from WH while only couple months ago we argued against giving similar documents based on Executive Privilege
Its amazing to see how NYT, WaPo, and other MSM outlets become reliable sources on Miers nomination, while we kept blasting them as, well, unreliable sources
Now, Im still agnostic on Miers nomination. No doubt, some of us also found that Bush nominated Miers is amazing...
If we thought as one how would there be discussion?
Ms. Meiers prepped John Roberts for his nomination hearings and suddenly she's a dope, she didn't go to the right schools, she's not married, she wears funny clothes, Rush Limbaugh doesn't like her, George Will hates her, the vetting expert Mark Levin disses and dismisses her, Ann Coulter trashes the woman mercilessly......and they say we folks out here in the real world just don't get it????????
I see that the nominee meets the strict requirements for the office. If she doesn't make it through the hearing she wouldn't be the first. If she does make it, I can only hope she has the capability of deep understanding and decides questions well. Apparently she could use practice expressing herself in writing, so she should come on FR for a couple of years.
I really think that someone who has been on the forum since May and talks in all caps like a hoodie, who feels they have standing to suggest a Freeper of over seven years belongs on DU, belongs on DU.
OOOOO , I didn't realize you were so.....special!
HEY -send the White House your address so they can confer with you next time
The White House should be listening to the loud voices of their base and those that helped put them in office. That they can't or don't hear is their problem, not mine.
