Shows my memory isn't what it's thought to be. (g)

Hey, that was directed at the prediction, and NOT the astro's, who made it to the big show, unlike my Red Sox. Good show, first ever Texas team to make it into the World Series!
Smile, and have a nice day!

Thank you sir! Simple "LOLs" can carry all kinds of meaning. Your follow up post earmarks you as a man of character.
Next year . . . Astros vs Red Sox . . . I'll hold off on the rest. ;^)

This is not right!
Miers notified Bush of her decision at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005.

On second thought, the questio was "when the announcement will come - be it from the WH or from Ms. Miers herself - that the nomination is being withdrawn."
That was this morning.

Agreed.
Just out of curiousity, because I haven't gone back and checked, would you have been the winner if we had taken last night as the relevant time and date?
To: governsleastgovernsbest
I would not have been the winner if we had used the evening of October 26 as the relevant time and date.
I did come close however. I predicted Miers would withdraw tomorrow, at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2005.

Well, let me qualify that. I actually said that I did not think she would bow out, but if she did and for the fun of betting on it, I picked 4:15 p.m. on Friday October 28. I figured that if she were going to bow out, she would do it after the end of the work week so there would be less talk radio chatter about it.
