Esme, Well, yes, I did want the company. Maybe I was talking too much... Making a pass would be better than saying he had to leave and letting me stand there with my unfinished beer, don't you think? LOL! There were other guys at the bar that started giving me smiles after he left, but I took my beer and went back to my roon. Why I am not liberated enough to go to a bar and have a drink by myself? Can you do that?
Strangely, I can go and have a drink quietly by myself in some shady corner alone.
And unobserved.
Usually slipping out before anyone knows I've been there too.
Unless it was the club at Fort Sill and Captain Krill was there flashing her hazel eyes around the room looking for me.
THEN I had to hide or be busted for fraternization.
Well, I have done that...although it depends on the bar...and the situation. If I'm staying at a hotel and I want a drink, I don't have a problem with it, although I'm more likely to call room service if that's an option, which it typically isn't in Arkansas. But to go out to a club alone....nah. I've done it, but generally only when I knew there would be people there I knew to hang out with. Of course, it's been a long time since I've even been to a club. In fact, since I've lived in Arkansas (nearly 5 years now), I've really only gone out for drinks maybe 5 times (blue thingies with supper or at a friend's house doesn't count) and only one of those was to a dance type place. It's a shame too, because I love to dance and I used to go all the time. I miss it a lot, and it was much easier to stay in shape when I was dancing all the time. But there really isn't anywhere to go here anyway. I think there may be one place that has dancing, but it's kind of a dive and even if I went there, it'd probably be full of clients.
