"Why I am not liberated enough to go to a bar and have a drink by myself? Can you do that?"

Well, I have done that...although it depends on the bar...and the situation. If I'm staying at a hotel and I want a drink, I don't have a problem with it, although I'm more likely to call room service if that's an option, which it typically isn't in Arkansas. But to go out to a club alone....nah. I've done it, but generally only when I knew there would be people there I knew to hang out with. Of course, it's been a long time since I've even been to a club. In fact, since I've lived in Arkansas (nearly 5 years now), I've really only gone out for drinks maybe 5 times (blue thingies with supper or at a friend's house doesn't count) and only one of those was to a dance type place. It's a shame too, because I love to dance and I used to go all the time. I miss it a lot, and it was much easier to stay in shape when I was dancing all the time. But there really isn't anywhere to go here anyway. I think there may be one place that has dancing, but it's kind of a dive and even if I went there, it'd probably be full of clients.

That is so interesting, isn't it? I used to love to go dancing just like you. It was such good exercise! But no one seems to want to go anymore. "Raves" are popular. But those kids are like 18 years old.

My dad and steomom used to go out dancing every week to a polka band. Corny, but that was actually a smart thing for them to do.

Maybe line dancing would be fun! lol
