Hi everyone. Life here in post Katrina Louisiana reminds me of the opening lines from A Tale of Two Cities.... its the best of times and the worst of times. The crowding everywhere, streets, the stores, restaurants, dentist offices, etc continues to be a major headache. On the other hand, we have so many of New Orleans best here.... for instance, we now have a Galatoire's and soon to have a Mandina's, some of my favorite boutiques and galleries have shops here now and we have some of the city's most delightful and charming former residents as our neighbors.

"dirigibutt" - verb: The action of some grossly obese persons of hovering in high-traffic paths or doorways or other bottlenecks, forcing their more active peers into aggravating evasive manoeuvers and the utterance of endless iterations of the somewhat acerbic and ironic "excuse me". noun: Any such obese person egaged in dirigibutting. See also: "tonweight"
"dirigiboat" - verb: The action of some motorists of operating excessively large and slow-moving sedans or SUVs in the fast lane or on no-pass areas, forcing their more active peers to ludicrously reduced speeds and the utterance of endless iterations of blistering blasphemies without let or count. noun: Any such large, slow-moving behemoth. See also: "bluehair"
"tonweight" - noun: literally - a 2000lb weight; colloquially - any person whose weight can be more sensibly described in significant fractional tonnage rather than pounds.
"bluehair" - noun: The old person (typ: female) driving the dirigiboat ahead of you at fifteen miles below the posted speed limit.
(for some reason, my attempts to submit these have failed)

uh-oh.... I'm gone for a little while and forget how to post. LOL...
Anyhow, all the good and bad elements have made this a very busy, very interesting and fun holiday season. We hardly recognize our once sleepy town any longer; Our new neighbors have brought their own sort of New Orleans style and glamour with them and some days it seems that every one of them is having a Christmas party, dinner, brunch or sumpin.. The good is finally balancing out some of the bad.

"Hi garn, Garn ?"I make a tremendous number of typos. When the Freeoples thread was new and every thread was full of flirtations fun and silliness, I made more typos than usual. LOL.... one day gran (grannie9) became garn and on occasion some of us still refer to her affectionately as garn. :)

Well, bless your heart.

And then along came myself, and my typical typos, and Gran ended up typing 'teh' for a few weeks.
She never did say how she got rid of that typo infection.
