Watching the drizzle gets to ya sometimes........
Good stuff. Although I had to convince the waitress that I knew what an eel was first. Kinda difficult across the English-Vietnamese language chasm...
Nikon D50 300mm zoom, no tripod or digital adjustment distance is 2½ miles....
Now days must be an excellant marketing tool for the Blinds co.!:)
Great pics Cardy!
Beautiful pics! Nice to wake up to!
If you only knew>>> :) LOL
Yeah! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Where is there sunshine?!!
Overcast here. But I live on a hill and sometimes it can be bright and sunny, but the clouds just haven't burned off yet up here.
When it happens in NYC I become aware we have been in OCT very rainy!:)
I stayed in NYC in an apt on the corner of NYU for about 3 months during the autumn BK (before kids). Even held down one of those Disney balloon characters in the Macy day parade.
I remember walking all around Manhattan every day, stopping at each of posh hotels to have a drink. We drank Martinis back then.
There was some ancient Egyptian exhibit at the Met? I had a deja vu in one of those ancient houses. I thought I found my roots. LOL. Is the cloisters still up there? I loved that city. I cried when I had to leave.
I remember the weather was cold but kind of nice.
Eel soup?
I heard the Lamprey were coming back to Lake MI. :)
I didn't mention it was a one room apt in NYC and we cooked food on an electric skillet. We could only afford one Martini a day during happy hour and the best we could do was to walk around the city and dream of being rich someday. Great honeymoon, though. Those were the days! LOL
How can anyone afford to live there today?
I been in MYC since 1972 and love it, when I did go home to visit my folks it was so quiet and still...I love the hussle and bussle!
As a kid I always loved NY itself I could feel my spirit soar and love it when I get a chance to take rides upstate!
For now I am more of a recluse not by choice but of circumstances, soon I hope to be hoping again!:)
Yep. The goofy grin is a dead giveaway.
Things I have learned from watching the news about Hurricane Katrina on TV
1. The hurricane only hit black family's property.
2. New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected by the hurricane.
3. Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down.
4. New Orleans has no white people.
5. The hurricane blew a limb off a tree in the yard of an Alabama resident.
6. When you are hungry after a hurricane steal a big screen TV.
7. The hurricane did 23 billion dollars in improvements to New.Orleans: now the city is welfare, looters and gang free and they are in.your city.
8. White folks don't make good news stories.
9. Don't give thanks to the thousands that came to help rescue you, instead bitch because the government hasn't given you a debit.card yet.
10. Only black family members got separated in the hurricane rescue efforts.
11. Ignore warnings to evacuate and the white folks will come get you and give you money for being stupid.
12. Damn, I feel so sorry for all those black folks.
13. Oh, and it is all George Bush's fault.
Stopping your funkle...
Stupid is as stupid does!
I don't think it made the media news but Rush heard that Andy Rooney said...
"He didn't like the name Black and that there was nothing wrong with the name Negro!
I think the time is coming where all or the Honest people in all races are ready to confront the media and others who champion bearing false wittness against another!
Not only in Race situtaion I also got a feeling this is going to happen across the board because this behavior is running rapid!
Hi Nully. I'm sitting around being lazy today. Still in my pajamas like God inteded. I need to clean house some, but I just don't feel like it. I don't get near enough time to relax. Sometimes you just gotta take it.
