Nevermind on the mission status. The last you'll hear is that payload separation occurred. THe NRO is funny like that. ;o)

A workhorse is put out to pasture. Well deserved, but kinda sad to see it go.

We did have a closed cicuit feed here for a while, but got the test pattern a ways into the launch. They're not gonna show the bird when the payload fairing flies.

I have worked the Titans at McConnell, Davis Monthan and Little Rock, been involved in the many fuel leak accidents aka BFRC fuel leaks and the Damasus Arkansas incident recovery of the W53 blown outta the silo in September of 1980.....
The fuel and oxidizer was what made that missle hazardous yet it did it's job when cared for properly.....
Good system, America got her moneys worth from it......

I'll stay on top the dirt and watch them big candles go up. Living a hole like that would make me crazier than a rat in a tin cup.
I see the vapor trails out here from the launches at Vandenburg sometimes. Awesome stuff. I wish I could pig hunt there, it's loaded with the porkers but you have to be retired or active to get on to hunt. 8^(
