AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1732) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | October 18, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 10/18/2005 4:41:35 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

TROPICAL STORM WILMA ADVISORY PACKAGE #11

Discussion:

WILMA is nearly stationary, but strengthening, in the Caribbean. It will likely be a hurricane by the next advisory.

The blocking HP center north of WILMA will likely weaken later today, allowing the system to begin moving NW.

Previous guidance had WILMA heading for the east central GOMEX coastline of the United States, now it is on a trajectory for the Florida coastline near Naples.

This is important because the northern Gulf is cold, relatively speaking, and would be hard pressed to sustain a category III hurricane at this point in the season. By making the recurve where it is forecast, WILMA will stay over warmer waters, meaning southern Florida is increasingly likely the target of a category III, or major, hurricane strike. Winds are forecast at time of landfall, VT+110 hours, approximately, to be 115 MPH.

Remember VT+110 hours is out on day 5, and errors are large. There is still the possibility the storm will err westward, so folks along the eastern half of the American Gulf litorral should begin preparations.

In the news...

There appear to be some irregularities in the balloting in Iraq, and authorities are looking into precincts that have unusually high levels of "yes" ballots for the proposed Constitution. There were scattered reports of police making off with "No" boxes.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

We've both changed a lot
through the years
and so have things
around us,
but the one thing
that hasn't changed
is the special bond
between us
that keeps us close
to each other
no matter where we are.

Happy Birthday

Thank you for the Jacob update. Our prayers will continue for the little fella. Assuming your sister is holding up, since you didn't mention her. So glad your parents are there to support her.

Sure hope your knee heals without incident.

I'm sure it's Neets' Birthday! She shares it with an old biddie I know very well and is almost a decade older, so it doesn't count.

Good Morning, all y'all.

Happy birthday, Neets!

Will someone explain to me why, according to Joe Degeneva (sp?), it is illegal for Special Prosecutor Peter Fitzgerald to publish a report of his findings?

Wilma question and its answer ever show up in the MSM? (Last I heard, puns are not illegal....even bad ones. lol)

HURRICANE WILMA TROPICAL CYCLONE UPDATE NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 230 AM EDT WED OCT 19 2005

DATA FROM A RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT INDICATE THAT HURRICANE WILMA HAS BECOME AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE SCALE. THE RECONNAISSANCE PLANE MEASURED 175 MPH WINDS AND ESTIMATED A MINIMUM PRESSURE OF 892 MB. THIS IS THE LOWEST PRESSURE OBSERVED IN 2005 AND IS EQUIVALENT TO THE MINIMUM PRESSURE OF THE 1935 LABOR DAY HURRICANE IN THE FLORIDA KEYS.

F&F is showing the Hussein trial right now.

And what a circus it is! Surely it would move faster if it wasn't televised.

I'm watching. Have an 8:00 doctor's appointment and then we were supposed to leave for Florida but for a variety of reasons, we're leaving tomorrow instead. If at all.

I have to call my brother and sil and talk through the evacuation orders and the likely path of the Category 5 storm headed toward Florida.

You are so right about the trial being televised. I'd hoped, much as I wanted to see it, that wisdom would prevail and the trial would not be shown worldwide.
