Yay, it be Friday! If I don't get in trouble today at my weekly status meeting, it will be a good weekend.
Morning everyone.... I'll be on the road today...
After coffee...
I was having a pretty good day until I read that Kermit the Frog turns 50 this year...
He hasn't changed a day. ;~D
Is it 4:00 yet?
Durn meetings.
Good morning!
I have a family co-op/potluck luncheon today that we're going to.
See, before the split, BA CHEF had a hugh co-op that I participated in a couple of times but didn't care for it because of the attitudes of the ladies that ran it. They were rude and it cost a fortune. I think I've complained about it in the Hole before, long time ago.
Anyway when the split happened, the new group took responsibility of the co-op. They said they'd *let us* participate for one year. (Bully for them, since many had already PAID!) If I'd been participating, well, you know what I woulda told them.
So now we have the smaller, better BA CHEF. My pictorial directly is almost finished and will be complete with every member...all forty of us.
So a couple of the ladies got together and decided to start this "family co-op" thing...it's a neat concept and here it is. Everyone is pretty much together in a big fellowship hall. Everyone...from the babies up and everyone is basically studying the same thing but just on their level. This time we're studying apples. The babies will be grouped together messing with apples, possibly eating apple sauce or something, all the way up to the high schoolers who will be studying a biology lesson, with the apple as a part of it. Then everyone but the babies will get together and make caramel apples!
The cost is FREE except I have to bring a potluck dish (I'm bringing a lasagna) and we also have to bring a bag of caramels and some apples. Otherwise, you don't pay a teacher...we ARE the teachers!
I like this concept a whole lot more than that cattle stockyard of a co-op we had before!
We've been vey busy. Last night, Matthew said "Mom, I know you said that this year we would be doing a lot more stuff than we did last year...but this really overdoing it!"
LOL! Hopefully it'll slow down soon. But next week we go to the pumpkin patch and then the next week we go to a gun safety shooting thing at a policeman's farm! That's on top of Latin, gymnastics and Royal Ambassadors! That doesn't include the things I do just by myself (meetings, dinners) or church!
So I'm sorry I'm not around as much...but I'm vey busy!!
Have we heard from ROSIE?? How's the new job?
I knew him when he was just a tadpole...
mmmm..... apples....
It's 5:00 somewhere...
Did y'all ever figure out the what was the perp on the chicken caper?
Well we just had the "monthly birthday breakfast" today...none of those touchy-feely workshops.
Got meetings next week, though.
It's not easy being green...
Yes! Opossum! I got perfect prints of it's tracks.... apossable thumbs and all.
But yesterday a HUGH HUGH hawk was sitting right out in front of the coop door for a long time! Like 20 minutes. The girls were hiding under the shrub and the jedis just stood for a bit and watched it, till I finally wondered if it were injured and went out there. It flew off.
It was gigantic!
Heh heh! I know it. I love caramel apples. Once, my dad bought me a caramel apple at the fair when I was expecting Joshua and I ate it so fast that he said "I don't believe I've ever seen anyone apply such a suction to a caramel apple before!"
I've never been big on caramel apples. But then, I spent my formative fair years with braces on, and they are hell on braces. Now, I still find them hard to eat, and I'm not sure the two tastes go together.
Call me quirky :~D
Ditto on both counts. There are a lot of foods I don't eat any more because of braces. And bubble gum. Can't take the taste or smell of it any more, because all the torturous things the orthodonists used in my mouth were bubblegum flavored.
Looks like he's after a big shnook!
