Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Although I'm wondering if I could stay awake through all of them. It's not that I don't want to watch them, I just also enjoy the naps. I'm not sure if I've made it all the way through TTT since the theater.
It took me three tries to get thru Hitchhiker's Guide. I managed to finish it, but not in one sitting.
I need to reconfigure the office so that I can watch and freep/surf.

Did you make it through at EntMoot? Or did you fall asleep?

I guess I'm the same way, once I get out of this chair and hit the couch, I have about 20 minutes of consciousness before I drop off.

Did you make it through at EntMoot? Or did you fall asleep? I had the Old Man Willow seat for TTT at Entmoot. I slept through most of it.

I want a couch like that one. :~D Preferably wrapped in a house like the Castle...
We had a great TV watching couch that I got when I was in my first apartment. You could just sink into the corner. When we bought the house we're in we decided it wasn't our "style."
Now that our "style" is Early American Dormitory/Nursing Home, we'd love to have that couch back.

Yeah - here too! All of them! We played just a bit of it just now to answer Ramius's question, it's been too long! Is there a chat-view in the immediate future?

I think we should! I'd be game. We've got to get our DVD player hooked back up. It's all discombobulated.

Ya always need a loophole in the your 'style' for a really comfy couch. I'd settle for a comfortable chair I could call my own.
If have two places to sit in my house. One is the computer chair. You can guess where the other is.
And no, I'm not making that up.

I do want to get her her own TV, down at her level, and put it in a back room so she can watch Animal Planet all she wants. :~D

If you put a TV in her room, she'll never get her homework done.
I know about these things.

Are you going to get her a remote? There might be some animal programming on other channels that she might like.

She's not very good with the buttons. I'd have to get her a remote with really big buttons.
