Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, they pray for "farm furbabies and featherbabies." <sigh>
But they pray for rescue animals who have given their lives in service, too. And for ferals, and those affected by the hurricanes.
To: Sam Cree
I don't remember a pic....

I pray for farm furbabies and featherbabies too. It usually is something like "Lord, thank You for this meal"...

To file under "questions to ask PETA member someday...":
Do they pray for the lioness, or the gazelle?

It gets me all teary, thinking of past pets.
But I do like the theory, that they're all waiting for us ...
Ah, there I go again ...!

Oh, I was just kind of agitating anyway, Jen. Females just reason differently than guys is all, but both kinds are needed, IMO. My brain is wired a little weirdly too, come to think of it.

I do like the Rainbow Bridge, too. :-) Got a couple over there I'd like to see again.
...but still I worry about that poor chicken farmer... :-)

Have you ever known someone to spray such an article in the air and then walk through it?That's the "proper" way to apply spray perfume. That way, it's not concentrated on your pulse points ... your scent is all over you, your hair, your clothes, your skin.
Pulse points have other purposes, and perfume tastes nasty ...
And, yeah, it's a great way to waste a lot of perfume, and have to buy more!!!

I don't know if there's actually any shepard in it. I think the Indians had them before they met Europeans. The person that posted it says there is some wolf and coyote in it. Maybe there is some wolf in a shepard too, but it would be parallel.

I miss my Tequila and Dino and Pudgy.
Scruffy is soon to go, but I try not to think about it until I must.

In my science fiction series, my main hero wears a kilt when not in uniform.
Haven't decided what he wears under it yet ...
