Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Explain the nature and function of: toasters, cookies, and llamas; the cultural significance of a chat-view; how to host a Moot; and discuss the types of underwear favored or neglected by various Middle-Earth races.
Sheesh. I guess we are sort of a weird lot.

Hehehehe...
I'd better eat lunch so I can start writing. I really need to get a lot done over lunch since I don't have much time tonight.

Well, when she would wash the dogs over there, you could tell because she musta sprayed some kind of cologne on them or the soap she used was deluxe or something, because my whole house and backyard would smell all perfumey! (She did fancy dog grooming...poodles and such, doncha know).
Apparently she went back to her ex-hubby.
According to my neighbor that I'm real good friends with, it just tore the guy up. She knows him and was real worried about him. He put the house up for sale, but then opted to keep it.
I think he's ok, now...he always waves at us when he goes by in his truck. Seems like he's gonna be all right, anyway. I hope so.

Well that's good. Would probably make working together very awkward.

Well, other than him waving at us, I have never really even met him! I think it would be too awkward.
But it's a thought...I could make him up a nice plate! Turkey, fixin's, pie...the such.
My neighbor that I like a lot might invite him though...she knows him. I'll see if she's thought of it.

Don't do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable.
We're kinda used to doing that. When we lived in DC everyone was transient so singles, couples without kids would get together on the holidays. We've kept it up and now we have a regular group for Christmas.

Inviting weird people for Thanksgiving is fun...
Oh, dear, I just realized I don't have a container for the leftovers from a 12-pound turkey. Couldn't find any smaller birds.
