Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

And you could blame the oil tank leak on the storm! Sheesh! What would the naybers think if'n they knowed there was a hunnert gallons of oil runnin' under their house.
But the good news on that is they're gonna build a privacy fence.
The bad news is that they told me after I moved the iris and daylilies. I just have to move one 12-15 ft section again, but still, they're the world's most irritatin' people...

25 might be a little harsh... I mean, what if my folks had that rule? ;-)
Uh, but reading a story like that might make me reconsider. Yeesh.

Ah! What are you thinking getting involved some strange older man over the internet?! One that has guns and is kinda strange...
Er... I better stop thinking like a dad before I go 'off' myself.

Woo! Not Dead Yet! Always a good thing. Coming down to the wire on studying and packing and suchlike, not to mention werk, so haven't been freeping. If you're still up for lunch Wednesday, e-mail me your contact info or directions from the airport or some such practical stuffles. empress@constainia.net
Found out there aren't any Testeve activities to show up for, aside from the old standby Avoid-The-Serial-Killer (always a croudpleaser). Um, what's the legal limit for knives in MO?

You must have fun with spam posting you email on public forums ;P
So, figure you going to pass and all?
4 inches. And it has to be folding and a 'normal pocket knife'. Your spiderco might be kinda iffy. The boot knife is right out.
http://pweb.netcom.com/~brlevine/mo.txt If you had a TX CCP then you could pack real heat there as MO has reciprocity.
To: TalonDJ
That's what minions with filters are for.
hrm. yeah, the spyderco's out. drat. nope haven't picked up my CCP yet, not much point since I lack the free cash for heat. Talked jan into getting a Kahr though, she loves it.
Hah. Just got a hugely guilty phone call. I scored cheap tickets and invited some coworkers to a hockey game and all three of them didn't show up *and* they had their phones off. They aren't going to live that down for a while.

Hah! That sucked but should be worth some good mileage. CCP is not that expensive. Now little accessory that makes the piece of paper worth something costs a few dollars :D
If you get a chance check out a .45 chambered in .45 GAP
They have a smaller grip than a full 1911 but the same power.
To: TalonDJ
Yeah, I've now been promised seats on the glass for a future game by two of them.

Oh, did I mention that my new dressage trainer competes internationally in pistol shooting? Haven't gotten over to the range with her yet though...

Always nice to know people with l33t skillzor. They often have cool toys you can try out :D
You should drag mom and dad all to a CCP class at the same time. 'Been meanin ta' lasts forever (i r da expert in dat):P

Oh and my nanowrimo novel is up to just under 19 thousand words. I am a bit behind the minimum though. And I am short on llamas.
To: TalonDJ
I'd say send me a copy, but better wait until Monday. I'll be home and detoxing then. I'd be happy to help out with the llamas. Heck, off the top of my head, have a char in cowboy boots. Oh, so they are Tony Lamas, not Llamas, but so?

It is hardly worth reading at the moment. Needs soooo much editing which is disallowed during November for lack of time.
Been consulting wiht bro for things like how to blow up large planets... and why the heck you would want to.
To: Empress
No, this is a sci fi story taking place on some place that is not Earth and is totally different (not humans). Llamas and badgers are going to be the hardest to work in of the Hobbit Hole List of Required NaNoWriMo Elements.
To: TalonDJ; Empress
That's right, no editing allowed. January is supposed to be the editing month but I think I have better things to do.

mmmmmm....editing....
My story is so bad now, editing may not be able to help it. I can't even keep the facts straight.
To: Corin Stormhands
Heh, I'm sure I have lots of internal consistency errors. Like having phone calls recieved before they're sent. Or establishing that X does not know Y and then having Y refer to hanging out with X...

Do they have to be actual animals in the story? I mean, I can see Llamatron particles coelescing into a llamitic wave.... which is, of course, the active element of a B'dger weapon....

My problems mostly relate to the flashbacks and sequencing the actual events. The events themselves aren't the problem, I'm just not sure they're happening in the right time frame...
