Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

There are three basic types of MP3 players: those based on hard drives, those based on flash memory, and the video type.
Whatever you do, make sure that you get one that has warranty (more than a year is better), and that has the special "Ooops-I-dropped-it-accidentally-please-replace-it" warranty. Nobody works on MP3 players; if you break it, you toss it unless you have a replacement warranty.
As for which brand to get ... heck if I know. I'm waiting for the video types to become popular, which should be before Christmas, since there are now porncasts available. <snicker> Nothing advances technology like porn!

In some ways I'm almost thinking I should wait a bit and get one of the slightly pricier ones that allow for live recording. I know Archos used to make such a beast, but I hadn't even thought about that feature until a few minutes ago when I started looking. There MUST be folks that still make 'em.
The warranty tip is good! Wouldn't have thought of that.

Yatta has nothing to do with anime. NOTHING.Except, of course, both originated in the same funny little country.

I see Japanese behaving strangely for the entertainment of other Japanese, and Americans being amused by it.
Glad it wasn't...animated or something.

Everything strange on the internet eventually traces back to Japan.
All your base? Japan.
Bunny with a pancake on its head? Oolong was Japanese

You have a good point... although Eastern Europe has provoked some strange things too, such as Numa Numa.

Sure, they allow for live recording. The one you get should let you record off FM and should let you transmit music over FM receivers (like the one in your car)
