Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

My characters hate my outline. My characters generally follow the outline for maybe the first paragraph and then go on their merry way.
Therefore, this year I didn't bother to outline.
Ugh! Just got home, and I haven't written and probably won't write today. What a long day! Hopefully tomorrow I can more than make up for it. We're doin' a write-in.

Awww...they're adorable! The white one looks like he/she will have color points, no? Hm...wonder if that means it's gonna be a talker like my two brats.
I want a kitten...

It wuz purdy brutal. Although I did get particular enjoyment when a gang of parents took the coach behind the concession stand and beat the ever luvin' snot out of him...
Hey, a dwarf can dream, can't he?

Well...if she DOES have any Siamese in her temperament make-up, watch out! She'll be very shy for about three days and then never shut up again.
Leastwise that's how my three have been.

Wheee! Good for you! I had every intention of writing last night, but I crashed early. Today, however, I'm doing a write in. I've shut myself in the spare bedroom with the papazan chair, an afghan, music, and two cuddle-bug cats. My goal: get to the part where the MC's meet the villian; format/post chapters 2 & 3.

Good morning!
After some errands, I'm off to the Big Museum downtown with the whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling.
Sound familiar? Just did it at the end of August.
Different kids this time.

Got my toaster reference! A young, heavily tattooed medical technician is named Russell Hobbs. One of the MCs is a history buff and teases the kid about being named after a toaster. Kid is not amused.

Kid has no sense of humor.
To: Overtaxed
Kid does, actually, and has a big heart despite his rugged appearance. He's just overly sensitive about his name due to all the "old people" in his life teasing him about it.

Hehehe....well he coulda been named "Sue."
To: Lil'freeper
Hehehe....do you know that if you put a space between the end of the line and the quotation mark that Word counts the quotation mark as a word?
To: HairOfTheDog
What cute babies!
Any ideas on names yet?
P.S. Good morning!
