The Hobbit Hole XXV - Fare you well! Fare you well!
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 10/15/2005 7:13:08 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Fare you well! Fare you well!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

What would be the most appropriate Hobbit Hole product we could send as congratulations?

I'm trying to gauge that. He's an intel guy and won't pcs for a couple months yet.

Didn't get a chance to write at werk today.

My characters hate my outline.

Got Top Hat on while I fix dinner.

Well, a Camillus Rescue is always handy for getting out of tight places. Maybe we'll even have a Gerber multitool in our lineup by then.

I found an old timeline tonight and realized I had forgotten several key points of back story for the over all plot. Oops.. No real damage done yet though.

I think Word just crashed...

You could stop in Dallas - Love Field, or Wichita Falls, or Fort Worth - Meecham.

We took the day off. I had to take the car to the dealership cuz the auto passenger door thingy broke. They ordered the part. It'll be in next Thursday. By that time it was noonish so we went to Wendy's for lunch. Then we went to the park. It was such a beautiful day we couldn't just go home.

Somebody goes to a ritzy Italian restaurant and orders a cheese sandwich.

No, my heroes use it as a meeting place since they can't talk in front of heroine's sister.

No cheese sandwiches.
