Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I would thank them for their valuable time, state that you enjoyed the experience, and remind them that your qualifications and experience are a good match for the multiple requirements/responsibilities.
Thank you letters communicate a lot of class and indicate you pay attention to details. Good on you! And good luck.
(You have another one tomorrow, right? Good luck on that, too!)

Great pics. I especially like the last one. The love on your face for your boys brings tears to my eyes. You are such a dear heart.

Maybe I stand up and say "I'll miss him.... he was a fly in the butt-balm, but he was ~our~ fly, and it was ~our~ butt balm."Aha!! That quote sounded familiar, and it's been bugging me all day. It just came to me - Frank Drebbin, at the end of The Naked Gun.
"It's a topsy-turvy world, Jane, and maybe the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of beans. But this is our hill. And these are our beans!"

Well, I'm just now putting the coffee on. I've been deciding on which clothes to pack for the college open house weekend. Looks like I may have to bring a larger suitcase than I'd planned.

Whoops! Well, then. Good luck to DaBear!
To: Corin Stormhands
Hmmm. If'n she let loose with a curse word now and then, I think she'd say, "What a bunch of bitches!" Cleaned up would be more like, "Well, I never!" or "What a bunch of crones!"

Well, this woman is actually turning into something evil. But she wouldn't swear in front of her children.
I changed it to "pretentious windbags." That works for now. I can edit in December.

Ha...great pics. Did you already post the fishing pictures? Thegirl went fishing with her sunday school class and caught the most and the biggest fish. 21 fish in all.
Got rid of the troublemakerdog. Things are much more peaceful now. Vader doesn't seem to pay them much attention. We're only getting 1 or 2 eggs a day now. I had to buy from the store for the first time in I don't know how long.
It was a beautiful day here...just a little windy...so we were outside most of the day. Took the day off to study trees. Found a great website and the kids made drawings of a bunch of different leaves. We'll be done with our year by the end of Nov. so I'm looking at stuff for school for the next year.
Oh, thegirl says Matthew needs a haircut. :-)
