Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh heh!
I'm going to finish reading the Little Leftover Witch to them and then calling it a night. I'm wore out!

Yep! LOL!
They'd go from one place to the other at the festival, playing the little games they had set up, then they'd grab a handful of candy and say "Don't Panic!"
It was a riot. People were totally confused.

I hear ya, sis! I'm getting the girls settled too, but it's difficult.
Believe it or not, we just had a few more trick-or-treaters show up at our door not 10 minutes ago.
Sheesh. It's 9:30!

I think our last group showed up at 8:30. We didn't hand out all the bags of chips and cheetos, so Joseph can take them to school in his lunchbox! And I don't have candy in the house calling my name! ;o)

He walked in, shook my hand, jerked open a drawer and pulled out some sort of pre-packaged jobber and then whipped me onto my back in the chair with my feet in air! I thought that was illegal in most states.

If you're blue and you don't know
where to go to why don't you go
where fashion sits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Different types who wear a day
coat pants with stripes and cutaway
coat perfect fits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper
Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper (super duper)
Come let's mix where Rockefellers
walk with sticks or um-ber-ellas
in their mitts
Puttin' on the Ritz
Have you seen the well-to-doUp and down Park AvenueOn that famous thoroughfareWith their noses in the airHigh hats, and arrow collarsWhite spats, and lots of dollarsSpending every dimeFor a wonderful time

Me too. I am not sure Jen was amused... or even that it came through the cell phone very well.
