Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

wow.
When archeologists dig up the remnants of our culture in 10,000 years... I hope they find more than just that. It would be really embarrassing. :-)

Poor kids. It's been a rotten October.
My kids went out earlier, got a bit of candy but nothing like years past. Becky isn't worried though because hse knows we have plenty of our own stash. :-D
On the happier side of news, it is much cooler out there. Outside air conditioning. Gotta love that.

The Badgers warned her.
Just before the Llamas took them out.

Something needs to be done about those llamas.
After War of the Worlds should I watch Young Frankenstein or try to finde my Dracula tape?

I still don't have a plot and it's 3 hours away from midnight here.
It does not bode well.

Speakin' of weather... we've been getting some *serious* rain today. Big big downpour type stuff. Off and on. Just like you'd recognize... but unusual for here...

I think I have enough scenes listed to take me well into the middle of the storie. I'm just thinking about how I'm going to write the first few.

No plot doesn't mean you're doomed. It just means you have to work harder.
Seriously. Just pick a scene randomly and start writing. If that doesn't work, drop a comet on them and talk about the aliens that dropped the comet.

Hair was mentioning it earlier.
And here I thought you all got there was either light mist, moderate drizzle or steady rain. :P

Evening OT, we started listening to the War of the Worlds but Gypsygirl reminded us that we said she go out tonight and see all the lit jack o lanterns. :-)
There were several homes that were quite well decorated but most didn't have their porch lights on. Weren't many young 'uns out, 'course we don't have the young families in our part of the shire anymore.

Don't have all my character names, though....except for Guido. I've got "BadGuy", "OldLady," "Girl,"....pretty ingenious, huh?
