The Hobbit Hole XXV - Fare you well! Fare you well!
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 10/15/2005 7:13:08 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Fare you well! Fare you well!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hmmmm......

Guido held the toaster upside down, trying to force the cinnamon raisin bagle out by tapping the bottom of the crumb tray.

"Here, use this butterknife to pry it out," his girlfriend handed him the utensil.

"That sounds reasonable...."

Slowly she pushed the aloe plant in front of the electrical outlet so he could not see that the toaster was still plugged in.

We will be seeing many Vaders this year methinks. KarateBoy is going to be Anakin. We actually ~made~ his costume, and to be honest, it looks more hobbitish than jedi. LOL, but he has an awesome black hooded cape that billows in his wake.

Luke is still expecting us to buy the Darth Vader voice changer mask. We did not. (It's about $30). We did spent $3 on the "breathing machine."

*sigh* We have the voice changing mask. KarateBoy got it back in July for his birthday present from my mother.

I wouldn't mind if Luke had it. I'm just not buying it for Halloween.

I'm all plugged up!

We're talking 30 seconds for both eyes. Holy smokes! He was fast! He walked in, shook my hand, jerked open a drawer and pulled out some sort of pre-packaged jobber and then whipped me onto my back in the chair with my feet in air!

"What??? No Valium???" I asked!

He laughed and shook his head.

He got the first one in with no trouble...had to dilate the second eye and it pinched a bit.

Suddenly I found myself standing in front of the receptionist holding a tootsie-roll pop.

I swear I wasn't in there 15 total including waiting room time.
