A man sentenced to nine months house arrest begged a judge to jail him instead because he couldn't stand his wife's nagging.

Algerian Ahmed Salhi, 24, was sentenced to a nine month curfew at home with his Italian wife in Ferrara, northern Italy.

But he went back to court after a week and begged the judge to jail him because he could not bear her nagging.

Salhi was sentenced to nine months house arrest after breaching immigration regulations.

But he turned up at his local courtroom and begged to be taken into custody because he said he could no longer stand living with her, and would rather be behind bars, Corriere della Sera reported.

He said: "I need some peace."

A local court agreed to the Salhi's request and he has been jailed for the rest of his sentence.

"Women hope men will change after marriage but they don't"

...

Women should test drive men off road, kick the tires, under the hood..... (sarc)

men hope women won't change but they do.

Thank God they do; Why do you think there are so many crack-head welfare mommas spending their unemployment checks on manicures and clubs?
Because they refuse to change their irresponsible 'single ways' and become mothers.

I couldn't keep a goldfish alive before I got married. I HAD to change. My children are lucky that I did.

Well, far be it from me to absolve the government of responsibility. :-)
But really, these women are just obeying the mandate of our society: Don't change.
I often see men here saying they want a woman who cooks, and cleans, and takes care of the children; one that won't spend their money, leave them, or cheat on them. I wonder how many of them are the kind of man that attracts this rare woman.
Don't get me wrong, I know there are tons of skanks out there. There are also alot of good women without husbands, though, and most men aren't willing to be the kind of man these women know they deserve.
Then there's the man who marries a spendthrift, naggy, useless witch because she's drop-dead gorgeous. These women know their looks will only last so long, and they'll be sure to leave you before they become too unattractive to hook a real man.
I don't blame men for this, I think it was the feminist movement that screwed everybody up. However, just because it's someone else's fault doesn't give anyone a reason not to overcome.

Nah it was magazine moguls like Hugh Hefner, Flynt, Guccione that $crewed everyone up, literally and figuratively.

Yeah, avoid marriage like the plague.

I'm sorry you feel that way. You must have been hurt badly in your past. Perhaps therapy can help you get over it and see your future more clearly.

See!

Another thread supporting my "Seperate Continents for the Genders" theory.

Really,
Or at least separate countries....Now THAT would get a wall put up real fast!

Nope, I don't need counselling

3 marriages and I have finally learned my lesson.

There will not be a 4th.

I could have used the counselling to find out why I was being so stupid as to marry the second time. THAT was when I lost my mind.

Have you really looked into your heart to see what you may have done wrong in these relationships?

You sound very bitter and that's not helping anyone.

If that's the nicest thing I've ever said to you, that's pretty lame. Duly noted.

Yep

Married women who couldn't be alone when I was overseas.

I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But divorce was never in my vocabulary.

Obviously it was in theirs.
